The main topic of the project is applied research in the following areas: • use of virtual instrumentation for automated testing and development of measuring systems; • use of virtual instrumentation for advanced digital signal processing techniques from various application areas; • monitoring of operational technical functions and energy management in intelligent buildings . The project builds on and further develops the issues solved in projects focused on automated testing of special metering equipment for power engineering within SGS2011 to SGS2013 and also in Virtual Instruments for Measurement and Testing within SGS2014 to SGS2016. In the past few years, the research team has achieved a number of results in this area, which have led to the creation of a number of RIV-rated results (see Teamwork Experience). The main task of the project is to support students of Bachelor's, Master's and Doctor's degree in their participation in scientific and research activities in these areas and their gradual transition to grant projects and contractual research. Emphasis is placed on application research and cooperation with industry. The presented project aims to develop research and development activities in four core areas: 1) Testing of instrumentation used in the field of distribution and transmission of electricity. 2) Industry-driven testing using machine vision. 3) Application of advanced adaptive methods of digital signal processing using virtual instrumentation. 4) Measurement, processing and modeling of stochastic variables to optimize the management of operational technical functions and energy management in intelligent buildings.
